Rudradaman

▶The most famous Saka ruler in India. 

▶(130 AD - 150 AD)

▶Rudradāman I took up the title of Maha-kshtrapa ("Great Satrap")

▶He is famous not only for his military conquests (particularly against the Satvahanas) but also for public works.

▶He repaired the famous Sudarshan Lake of the Mauryan Period. 

▶He patronage Sanskrit (he issued the first ever long Inscription in chaste Sanskrit in Junagadh Rock Inscription 

▶He defeated twice the Satvahana ruler Vashishtiputra Sri Satakarni (he was married to the daughter of Rudradaman)
